My name is Patrick Ryan and I’m a freelance photographer based in Washington, D.C. (my hometown). My images have appeared in a number of diverse outlets. I’ve won awards for my political photography. I’ve been Photo Editor at a couple papers in town. Besides hard news, I also shoot features – restaurant reviews, environmental portraits, travel and nightlife stories. I also speak on photo topics and I’ve served as a judge for photo competitions, etc.
